I just realized something incredibly depressing.

The first and the “last” case John joins Sherlock on are the same: a murderer attempts to talk Sherlock into committing suicide.

The only difference is that John is able to save Sherlock the first time.

If anyone has the nerve to say that this show isn’t high-class intelectual and thought provoking drama I have no idea what is.
